If you're just looking for skill progression or some other tasks, you could easily make money supplying planks (cedar or maple will sell very quickly.), logs (maple is needed for steel ingots), or inn materials. i'm not sure, because I just blundered through them when I did it. I believe the recommended order is Wolfera->Acacia->Beryl. Just do Beryl park last, and it's not awful. it really doesn't take too long to get through to Lanfar if you dedicate some time to dungeons and the quests daily.
